The Cam Jordan Legacy Scholarship Program is a transformative initiative created to empower 4 exceptional high school seniors in Louisiana each year. This program provides full tuition coverage for four years at an in-state college or university, along with career exposure opportunities, mentorship, and professional development resources. By addressing financial barriers and fostering career readiness, the scholarship aims to cultivate future leaders who will positively impact their communities and beyond.
Program Objectives
1. Expand Access to Higher Education: Provide full tuition support to students from underserved backgrounds, enabling them to pursue higher education without financial burden.
2. Foster Career Readiness: Equip students with essential skills and professional networks through workshops, mentorship, and internship opportunities.
3. Build Community Leadership: Empower recipients to become role models and active contributors to their communities, strengthening Louisiana’s future workforce.
ELIGIBILITY & DETAILS
To qualify for the Cam Jordan Legacy Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
● Residency: Must be a Louisiana resident.
● Grade Level: Must be a high school senior at the time of application.
● GPA: Must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
● Financial Need: Must demonstrate financial need (proof of income required, previous year’s tax return).
● College Enrollment: Must commit to attending a public in-state college or university in Louisiana.
● Community Involvement: Applicants should have a demonstrated history of community service, leadership, or extracurricular activities.
Scholarship Package
Full Tuition: The scholarship is worth $12,500 per year. If tuition is less than that the remainder balance will be applied towards books, room & board, meal plan, etc. Coverage for two to four years at a public in-state college or university.
Laptop Package: Recipients will receive a new laptop to support their studies.
Professional Development Opportunities: Access to office tours, workshops, and panels designed to prepare students for successful careers.
Organization Requirements: Students will be required to join at least one on-campus organization.
GPA Requirements: Students must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 while in school. If the GPA falls below 2.5 or if the student leaves school for any reason, the scholarship will be voided.

● Recipients are paired with mentors from partner organizations, including professionals from industries such as sports, business, and technology.
● Mentors provide guidance, career advice, and networking opportunities throughout the recipients’ college journey.
Career Readiness Workshops
● Topics include resume building, interview preparation, financial literacy, and leadership skills.
● Workshops will be facilitated by industry experts and local leaders, offering real-world insights.
Internship Opportunities
● Scholarship recipients gain access to internships and job-shadowing experiences with partner organizations.
● These opportunities provide hands-on experience in fields aligned with the student’s career interests.

Positivity. It all begins with Positivity.
That is why, throughout his career with the Saints, Cam has solidified himself as a leader not only in the locker room, but in his community as well. It starts with his outreach with those on the margins. With a macro view, Cam's focus is a wide-range of support, from education, to physical fitness, to social justice, to computers, to diapers, to disaster relief, and more. With little fanfare, Cam's mere presence is inspirational, as well as entertaining!
For those who have been impacted, with a handshake or hug, or through his donations, Cam's positive influence has been experienced by many.

Who knows how to train for football?
Cam does. From his beginings as a standout in high school sports, to a celebrated College career at Cal State to a 3X All-Pro defensive end, this 13 years veteran knows his way around the gridiron.
But it's not just his knowledge of the game that is Cam's strong suit, no, it's his delivery and accessibility that makes him such a great coach for developing players. Whether they are future Hall of Famers, or just playing for fun and exercise, girls and boys from ages 5 to 12, can learn to be a better player, and a better person. Using a positive approach to the game, Cam's Camps have been challenging every kid, at every level, every day with football, and life skills.

Since coming to New Orleans in 2011, Cam has committed nearly every team off-day to engaging with kids in the community. He has made a point to take part in some community activity each week. Even during the COVID pandemic, Cam made a work-around to maintain his presence in the schools.
With an emphasis on positivity, kids are inspired by his humor, his passion, and his honest approach to success not just in football, but in life. That encouragement doesn’t just end with the students, but continues to the teachers, support staff, and administrators, exhibiting Cam’s ongoing support to ensure every child has a brighter future.
